War Time Hiring: 5 Steps to Attract Top Talent
A recent report, titled “The War for Talent” stated that over the next 20 years, employee talent will be what differentiates successful companies from those going bust. The late 90’s gave us a glimpse of the talent war, but was nothing compared to what’s ahead. Here are five ways to bulletproof your company before the battle begins.
Practice What You Preach
Recent studies of America’s largest companies show that a strong reputation for moral and ethical conduct performed better financially in terms of their returns on investment and equity, and their sales and profit growth. How do you begin applying this in your company? At PrideStaff, every time an employee is hired, the owner takes them into his office and goes over the 10 standards of ethical conduct that the company was founded on. We also review these standards several times a year to encourage their daily application in the company.
Why is it so important to employees that they work for a company with strong ethics and values? Because your personal identity is strongly tied to your corporation. People often make assumptions about others based upon where they work. I know it sounds shallow, but what’s the first question you’re often asked after meeting someone? “So?what do you do?” Employees want to be proud when they answer that question.
Make Every Employee a Cheerleader
Employees are the first direct contact between a corporation and its customers. They are also the single most important source of word-of-mouth advertising that attracts other talented employees.
So how do you start making cheerleaders? You can start by buying everyone pom-poms. I’m not kidding! You need to make your company a fun place to work, a place that encourages employees to build relationships. An employee is much more likely to look forward to coming to work if they have a best friend there. I recommend you check out the motivational program called FISH!, based on the world famous Pike Place fish market in Seattle. It provides a step by step guide to building an amazing corporate culture.
Create and Convey a Strong Corporate Vision
Ultimately, your vision tells your employees and the rest of the world what you do and why you’re doing it. But just hanging up a poster with your corporate vision isn’t enough to build your brand as an employer of choice. Your vision should weave through every employee interaction. From your newsletter to your new hire orientation, your vision should serve as a constant reminder of where you’re going and provide the motivation to get you there.
I think it’s important to point out the difference between a vision and a mission statement. Your vision should provide a higher calling to a greater good while your mission statement should provide a framework for your existence in relation to your clients. The former speaks to the heart while the latter speaks to the mind. Your vision answers the question, “what really matters in this world ” and your mission statement answers the question, “what really matters in my clients world.”
Build Partnerships with Other Companies with Great Brands
In every industry, you can point to one or two companies that stand out from the rest of the crowd in terms of their reputation. Your goal is to find those companies with excellent reputations, who don’t compete with your company, and develop strategic alliances with those companies. Online, this strategy is known as affiliate marketing. I’ve heard other companies calling it a formal referral network. Whatever you call your partnerships with other companies, make sure you leverage those relationships with non-competing businesses that sell to your demographic.
There’s a saying that goes, “Birds of the same feather flock together.” When two or more corporations enter into a partnership or work together; their reputations may be attributed to each other. Keep this in mind as your think about other businesses to form partnerships with.
Become World Famous
Becoming world famous should be one of your major objectives in your long term business strategy. Why? Because building a business that draws the best of the best requires a brand that is known around the globe. How many people do you know that want to work at Microsoft just because it’s Microsoft? Building a world famous brand should be your ultimate goal in the visibility of your business. How do you get world famous? You start working on it today. Remember, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Six Keys To Build Vision – Point Two
2. Recognize the source and purpose of vision
· It’s purpose is to be shared with all those around us
Living life based purely on our own personal needs is really living life at the most primitive level. It makes no allowance for the wonder of investing into our fellow humans beings and the generations yet to come. The inheritance we leave behind is the materials that another generation will build upon. One of the reasons I love writing, is it is my personal investment to those who find my life helpful to theirs. The thought that someone one hundred years from now may glimpse my life and evaluate my thoughts, both excites me and empowers me to write more. A selfless life is committed to investing beyond our own needs and into the needs of another.
· Not wishful thinking or a good idea it is “supernatural”
If everyone planned their life as a result of their vision for it, we would call that common sense or just the natural process of living. The truth is, not everyone lives their life according to the ultimate purpose for which life is lived. Most people live life from one circumstance to another and plan in the midst of this process.
Living life with purpose and intent, or according to our destiny is supernatural. It goes beyond the natural approach to living, by taking responsibility for the decisions we are to make ahead of time. At this level of living we move beyond the norm and venture into the supernatural. Wishful thinking is really living life in a knee jerk fashion. Vision is all about purposeful living. Fashioning our daily lives according to the blue print, which we have seen ahead of time. Visionaries do not live their life by “chance”, they live their life out of purposeful action.
· Vision is not contrary to our creators will
Regardless of our spiritual persuasion, we need to accept that we are designed for greatness. Heaven and earth conspire to create a quality of life, which goes beyond temporal living. Living life at its poorest form is ignorance and at its greatest level, enlightenment. Life lived at a quality of total awareness, is a life lived with extreme potential. Vision is available to every person on earth. Poverty of imagination is poverty at it’s worst. As our mind begins to dream of potential, our will begins to change towards the probabilities of what can be.
As we each take up our personal responsibility to dream on a level beyond the natural, we enter in to a dimension of creativity. Creativity is the gift that we were all born with, but circumstances conspire to rob us of the initiative to birth the seed of creativity. The will of our creator is to empower each one of us with the same creative capacity.
· Not based on abilities and talents, though we may use them positively or negatively
Poverty of spirit is the main reason why many of us live it what could have been, rather than what can be. When we excuse our lack of achievement on our lack of provision, we exclude ourselves from the power of creativity. One only needs to travel into less affluent Nations to recognize the creative genius that appears as a result of need. Resources may well be in poor supply, but invention and creativity is never an orphan.
Starting where we are at is a fundamental philosophy to success. If we are waiting for all we need before we start we will never start. The hidden inertia that compels vision forward is initiative. Resources and provision are drawn to those who live by vision, and the momentum that gathers as a result of initiative is fair reward to those bold enough to act upon it.

Fashion Tips: Dress to Look Young
Dress to look young? Well think about it, how are you normally dressed? How do you normally present yourself to others? Unknowingly, a lot of us have been wearing clothes that made us appear older than we actually are, especially due to the nature of our work.
To maintain a youthful look, a lot of women have invested heavily on skin care products. Many at times neglecting the very basic, the clothing they wore everyday, the way they are dressed. Some due to their profession didn’t even realize that all these while; they are actually dressing to look old! Anti-ageing cream simply won’t just do magic to them.
To look young and pretty isn’t really that difficult. All you need is to spend a little time & effort, giving yourself a little touch up.
Tips:
Try out a new hairstyle. Visit a hairdresser, they will be able to advise and styled your hair to suit you, bringing out that radiant in you.
If you are still wearing glasses, why not give it a try with contact lens? You can have excellent peripheral vision and at the same time, ease, comfort and convenience. Not forgetting to mention, a more youthful look. Don’t you love the way you naturally look without your glasses?
Put on some light makeup to help lift your face, bringing out that natural beauty in you. Do however avoid too heavy a makeup; a heavy eye makeup tends to add ages to the look.
Try out new styles; add a little color to your daily wear. Yes, appropriate dressing for work is important, especially when your job involves frequent meeting with clients. But still, that doesn’t mean that you have to stick to the same old boring dull clothing everyday. Well, as long as they are not too short, too tight, too revealing and too bright, you can still have fun with mixing and matching while maintaining your professional image.
For instance, instead of the usual dull black pants & skirt, you can also go for a Glencheck Pants, Ice Blue Cotton Flare Leg Pants, a Pink Stretch Twill Pencil Skirt, White Pleated knee Skirt?
Matching them with Yellow Stretch Corduroy Belted Blouse, Mint Chiffon V-neck Blouse, a White, Blue & Red Stripe Button Front Shirt? Perhaps even a Blue Dot Capsleeve Jersey Dress?
Many work place, has nonetheless also adopted the idea of a Casual Friday. A printed tee with faded stretch denim jean? Why Not? Well and of course not forgetting the weekends. A Sporty & Youthful look? It’s your weekend you call the shots!
Hmm? Save the best for the last? Well, there’s no need to wait for any special occasion to doll yourself up. You deserve to look your best everyday. Last but not least, put on a smile?

Blogging Your Way To Success Part 2
(Continued from Blogging Your Way To Success Part 1)
By now, you have already configured your blog name, description, personal profile, and the page template. As soon as you set up your blogging account with Blogger, you will need to do this next:
Post At Least 20 Articles
=====================
While this may sound like hard work, there is no short cut around it. This, you have to do. It is mandatory. Why?
Before you start whining, let me remind you that you are in business. If you are serious enough about making your money then this should not bother you much. Now, the reason I ask of you to post at least 20 articles is because you need to have a REAL website to be in the game of Internet Business.
In the later part of this series, you will find out why this is important for setting up your AdSense account.
Anyway, post at least 20 articles. I recommend you post 25 or 30 articles to start with. Your articles need not be long. At least 200-500 words would do. Post them all in a day, if possible.
Be sure that your articles are relevant to your topic or niche. For example, if you are authoring a blog on Internet Marketing so let all your articles be related to Internet Marketing.
If 20 articles sound very hectic for you, you can source for other people’s articles from article submission web sites such as www.ezinearticles.com and www.articlecity.com as long as they have reprint rights and you include the authors byline. This can give you a good start but be sure not to keep using other people’s articles too often as this can damage your own reputation in a long run. Very soon, you will need to write your own articles. This is your blog.
Keep A Daily Archive
=====================
If you would browse your Blogger settings, you will want to set your archive to “archive daily”. So now, you have at least 20 articles which mean 20 posts. And since you have set “archive daily”, you have at least 20 pages of REAL content now.
Awesome!
Get A Feedback Form
===================
This is the next important thing to do on the list. You want people give you their feedbacks, comments, suggestions and also constructive criticism. This involves more technical knowledge. If you are not familiar with scripting, I have two great sources where you can get the scripts for free and does not require a lot of technical knowledge.
http://www.freedback.com
http://www.bignosebird.com
Set up the forms on your blog for your visitor’s convenience. You want to know what they think of your web site and at the same time, find out what their demands are so you can cater to them accordingly.
In the next part of the series, we will get you an account with AdSense.

Working From Home – Could You Cope?
It is a well-known fact that more and more people are choosing to work from home rather than face the daily agony that is otherwise known as commuting. There are many companies that are even encouraging this practise amongst their permanent staff as a viable alternative to travelling to work.
In most cities, workers will have to commute to and from the office, which depending on where they live could mean adding an extra one or two hours to their average day. At its very best commuting can be a tiresome and stressful activity made up of countless public transport delays, shoulder-to-shoulder contact with complete strangers and to a large extent, mind-numbing routine.
This sort of start cannot possibly be conducive to a productive working day and at long last there are a lot of companies beginning to realise this. However, it is worth mentioning those at the opposite end of the scale that actually thrive on running the commuter gauntlet morning and night and would never consider doing anything else, though I think they must be very much in the minority.
For many people, working from home has long been seen as the sole domain of freelancers, who many think get out of bed when they want to, start work and stop work when they want to and generally come and go as they please, which on occasion may be true, but more often than not it’s exactly the opposite as one vital requirement of working from home is self-discipline; without it you may as well go back to commuting.
There are multiple distractions in the home that all too easily lure the unwary away from their work. There is no manager looking over your shoulder, nobody to tell you how long to have for lunch; you can wander away from your desk at any time you like. There might be a television programme you want to watch, the grass may need cutting, a visitor arrives or the dog needs walking. You can do all this if you want to and it sounds good doesn’t it? ? until at the end of the working day you suddenly realise that you haven’t actually done much work at all whilst leaving a backlog to catch up on the following day.
However, once you are over the distraction stage it can be very rewarding to work in the comfortable and familiar surroundings of the home. You may find that you like the solitude in which to conduct your work, or welcome the fact that there isn’t a colleague constantly taking up your time for one reason or another; you could discover that you can think more clearly without having photocopiers, fax machines and telephone noises constantly assaulting your eardrums. One of the foremost pleasures would be not having to travel to work, affording you the luxury of an extra hour or two in the day to do with as you please.
There is one piece of advice I would give to anybody who is thinking about working from home, and it is this: When you get up in the morning don’t attempt to start work wearing your dressing gown. Get properly dressed as you would if you were travelling to work. This is more psychological than anything as it puts you in the right frame of mind for the day ahead ? even if you are only working from the living room. If you slob around in a vest and shorts or your pyjamas you will not work to the best of your ability.
Working from home merits serious thought before you decide to take the plunge because it will not be to everyone’s taste; ironically, some people who tried it found that they preferred the daily battle of commuting to the comparative peace and quiet of their homes, and subsequently returned to working at the office. To anyone working from home for the first time it will possibly be a bit of a culture shock but at the same time exciting, and once you adapt to the different rules, learn to manage your time effectively you will gradually begin to enjoy it.

Executive Coaching -The Business Benefits
Executive coaching is an investment for you and your business and you need to understand what returns you will get. How exactly will you benefit from it?
On a practical level, much executive coaching nowadays is carried out by phone, so there is no time wasted in travelling to meetings. A phone call can simply be diaried in for the home or office to fit around your other commitments. E-mails are then used to correspond between phone calls as necessary.
The relationship between coach and client is one of total confidentiality, so you can speak completely openly without worrying about office politics or watching your back. This alone can be an enormous relief from the competitive world of modern business.
You decide what our objectives will be and the coach works with you to ensure you achieve them. Examples might be gaining promotion or getting a job in another company or industry, improving relationships with colleagues and/or customers, improving sales and profits or finding new clients.
You look carefully at your goals before setting them, to make sure they are really what you want. How will their achievement impact on your home life and friends? Is the goal achievable? You will also agree on ways of judging your success ? sometimes it may be obvious, such as being offered the job, other times less so.
In talking to your coach and answering their questions, you will begin to learn more about yourself and how you habitually respond to certain situations. You will also begin to understand others better and why they behave as they do.
You become clearer about situations which have been problems in the past and see alternative responses. With the support of your coach you have the confidence to try out different responses, to find out which works best.
You will find that with the one-to-one support of coaching, your development is rapid and sustained. Attending a training or personal development workshop can be inspiring at the time, but the effect quickly wears off once you return to your daily routine. Executive coaching makes positive change much more likely to be permanent.
You find that getting results and becoming more productive is easier and less effortful.
And finally, you are learning valuable resources which you can continue to use once the coaching is over. You will be able to coach yourself!

Why take Vitamins?
Vitamin is micronutrient that has essence role to healthy life. Vitamin deficiency can cause unhealthy state and dangeorus. There is FDA’s Reference Daily Intakes recommendation, but the vitamin requirement may play a larger role in our dietary.

Nutrition supplements are needed for 2 reasons at least.
